Mini Uttapam with Sesame Seeds





INGREDIENTS

1.5 cup idli/dosa batter (readily available in stores)
2 tablespoon each finely chopped onion, bell pepper, tomato
1 green chilli, finely chopped
1-2 tablespoon finely chopped coriander
2 teaspoon flax seed powder*(Alsi)
2 tablespoon white / black sesame seeds or mix of both
2-3 teaspoon oil to cook

INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Add required quantity of salt to the batter, if unsalted.
  • Add the vegetables, chilli, coriander, flax seed powder to batter, mix well. The batter should be thicker than dosa batter.
  • Heat a nonstick dosa tava. Grease with some oil.
  • Add 2 ladles of batter to the tava, do not spread out. Drizzle ½ teaspoon of oil along the sides.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds all over the top.
  • Turn over after 2-3 minutes on a medium flame.
  • Cook this side until crisp and golden on a medium flame, another 2 mins or so.
  • Serve hot with your favourite chutney or molagapodi.
  • For flaxseed powder, grind flax seeds in chutney jar until you get a coarse powder. Store this in the fridge in airtight container.
